A photo says a thousand words, and is also one of the easiest ways to pique interest. Using this concept, Pinterest can be a powerful marketing tool for businesses. Since Pinterest is a social community, businesses that properly use the site can thrive from word of mouth marketing as people spread the reach of pin by repinning. The potential growth is exponential as Sally repins from company x and Sally's friend repins from Sally's page, and so on. What I personally like about Pinterest is that it really focuses on people's interests (hence pinterest). A person sees a picture or graphic that intrigues them, and they repin it to their own board. I like that this creates a more natural progression of marketing; it also makes it easier for small businesses and from-home crafters to advertise. The hardest part of Pinterest marketing is sparking the interest to repin.
